오늘은 GBC 수업 시간에 한, 스트레스 설문지를 공유해볼까 해요. 곧 인턴십을 나가게 되는데, 일할 때 중요한 것 중 하나가 스트레스 관리법이죠. 스트레스를 어디서, 얼마나, 왜 받고 있는지를 인지하고, 어떻게 관리하는지가 중요해요. 일뿐만 아니라, 모든 생활에서요.
제게는 복습 겸(다음 주에 테스트가 있거든요..), 그리고 이 글을 보실 분들에게는 영어 공부 겸 스트레스 설문지를 같이 풀어보도록 해봐요. 그리고 스스로 한 번 체크해보세요.

I have a tendency: 나는 ~하는 경향이 있다.
ex. I have a tendency to talk too much when I am nervous.

appetite: the feeling that you want to eat food, 식욕
binge: to eat too much of something, 폭식하다
irritated: annoyed, 짜증난
bottle up: When a person bottles things up, they refuse to talk about things that make them angry or worried. (감정을 드러내지 않고) 억누르다, 숨기다
16. When I play sport or games, I really try to win whoever I play
17. I experience mood swings, difficulty making decisions, concentration and memory is impaired
18. I find fault and criticize others rather than praising, even if it is deserved

praise: to express admiration or approval of the achievements or characteristics of a person or thing, 칭찬하다
preoccupied: thinking or worrying about something too much, (어떤 생각/걱정에) 사로잡힌

23. I am unable to perform tasks as well as I used to, my judgment is clouded or not as good as it was

grinding my teeth: 이갈이
cloud: to make someone confused, or make something more difficult to understand, 기억력/판단력을 흐리다
ex. When it came to explaining the lipstick on his collar, he found that drink had clouded (= confused) his memory.
dependency: 의존
여러분들은 몇 점이 나오셨나요? 저는 Yes 14, No 11개 나왔습니다. 14점을 받았네요. 4점 이하로는, 스트레스와 관련된 질병에 걸릴 가능성이 낮다고 하고, 14점 이상으로는, 스트레스를 많이 받고 있고 또한 질병에 걸릴 가능성도 많다고 해요. 어디서 스트레스를 받는지를 체크하고(yes에 표시한 항목), 최대한 그 행동을 고쳐나가보도록 해야겠어요.
4 points or less: You are least likely to suffer from stress-related illness.
5-13 points: You are more likely to experience stress-related ill health either mental, physical or both. You would benefit from stress management/counseling or advice to help in the identified areas.
14 points or more: You are the most prone to stress showing a great many traits or characteristics that are creating unhealthy behaviors. This means that you are also more likely to experience stress & stress-related illness e.g. diabetes, irritable bowel, migraine, back and neck pain, high blood pressure, heart disease/strokes, mental ill-health (depression, anxiety & stress). It is important to seek professional help or stress management counseling. Consult your medical practitioner.
