Dear partner
We trust that you are doing well and that you have been able to keep yourself safe during this pandemic.
This update is intended for ACE students currently in Malta with Visa Need only.
After several weeks of in-depth discussions with our local government, health authorities and industry stakeholders, we feel we are now able to announce that the school will be opening its doors to students for lessons on 7th of September 2020. We are confident that by this date, most things will have returned to normal, and we will be able to offer students the kind of service they are used to and deserve. As always, safeguarding the health of our students, as well as our staff, was the primary motivation behind this opening date. We look forward to seeing everyone face to face at the school from this date onwards.
Further to the above, we have decided to begin offering live online lessons using the platform "Zoom". These lessons will be available from the 6th of July 2020 and will be based on a fixed timetable of 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday (more information will be provided in the coming days). For students who choose to sign up for these lessons, these will replace their remaining course, however as a gesture of goodwill and understanding, we will also grant all those who attend these online lessons an extra 2 weeks of ACE Group 20 free of charge once the school is open. (for example, a student who has 20 weeks of course remaining, and attends 9 weeks of online lessons, will have 11 + 2 weeks remaining for a total of 13 weeks after 7th of September).
Since the school was closed, we have been able to help our students and their visa applications by offering free online lessons. From 6 July 2020, students who are currently in Malta with a study visa, will need to attend these new Zoom Online lessons instead as a requirement for their study visa. Should students prefer not to make use of these live online lessons, and stop their visa, their remaining course weeks will remain available for them to use anytime until the end of 2021, as previously announced. Please note if students decide to follow the online lessons, 80% of attendance is mandatory for the study visa to continue being approved.
Students who choose to not attend the online lessons, we ask them to please inform us immediately by contacting our ACE representative, so that we can update identity Malta with their decision to avoid any legal difficulties during the remaining of their stay in Malta.
